A Couple of K Here and There and Then You've got a Race

Ran another 5K today and it wasn't even Sunday! Actually, it was a Turkey Trot for Thanksgiving. Did a little worse than the last time by about 2 minutes, but it was also in a much bigger group, hence more people to pass. There were a few hundred people that finished after me. Believe me when I say I am not bragging. My biggest competitor is me. Funny, I decided going into this that I wasn't going to get too worked about it and just finish. However, I was decidedly disappointed when I saw my time. I guess I have more competitive spirit than I give myself credit for.
Hubby ran his first 10K and ran a very respectable time. I am really proud of him. A year or two ago, I could NEVER visualized either of us doing much physical activity. Now he is running! (Well, part of the time.) The rest of the time he walks really fast, a skill honed through miles of hustling through airports!
Daughters 1 & 2 walked/ran with us today for the first time. As expected, they beat me soundly. I would have been shocked if they didn't.
All and all, not a bad way to spend Turkey Day.
